About Anston Field Target Club
Anston Field Target club was founded in 1987 by a few locals that needed a safe place to shoot. It was originally based in Anston – a small village near Worksop but in 1993 moved to its current premises; a 12 acre site in Renishaw comprising of both established woodland and open ground.
We cater for all forms of airgun sport – including Field Target, Hunter Field Target (HFT) or just a place to check your zero, have a chat with friends and do a spot of plinking in a safe and informal environment.
Anston FTC is affiliated with the North East region of the British Field Target Association and the UKAHFT (UK association for Hunter Field Target). We have NSRA /BFTA licensed club instructors on hand to give free guidance and tuition on technique as well as a club captain that has held both the World and European champion titles.
Our membership is open to all; with ages ranging from 8 to 78 you’ll find that air gunning is a sport that truly is open to all comers no matter what age, sex or physical ability.
All members are fully insured and we are proud of our blemish free safety record.
When are we open?
Members are provided with a key to the site which allows them unrestricted access 24 hours a day 365 days a year. If you’re the social type and would like some one to one tuition or advice we meet regularly every Sunday from around 9am to 3pm and during the summer months every Wednesday from around 5pm until it gets too dark to shoot.
Competitions at Anston FTC
Anston holds a number of regular events each year including 1 or 2 rounds of the NEFTA Winter League, Anston Champs – sometimes known as the Christmas shoot.
We also hold HFT competitions run to UKAHFT rules which are open to members and visitors alike.
If you’d like to visit the club and see what we have to offer these events are an excellent opportunity.
